Eye Care 

Primary Eye Care 

Primary Eyecare provides NHS funded eyecare services across large parts of England. The services are available from the majority of local opticians, from the smallest independent practice to the largest national chains. 

The provide both urgent and routine services for the assessment, treatment and referral of: 

  • Red eye or eyelids 
  • Dry, gritty or uncomfortable eyes 
  • Eye irritation and inflammation 
  • A lot of recent discharge from the eye or watery eye 
  • Recently occurring flashes or floaters 
  • Painful eye 
  • Ingrowing lashes 
  • Recent and sudden loss of vision 
  • Foreign body in the eye

For eye problems, visiting the optician is often better than coming to the GP as they are experts in eye care and treatment and have the necessary equipment to be able to assess and treat you. For details on how to book in please visit their website below 

Contraception and Sexual Health 

Sexual Health London  

Sexual Health London provides free confidential advice on sexual health and contraception, including the following service: 

  • Home testing kits for STIs 
  • Regular and emergency contraception 
  • Advice and guidance on PEP and PrEP 
  • Advice and guidance on drugs, alcohol and sexual/domestic violence 
  • Advice on local clinic locations 

For coil fitting or removals you can attend your local NHS sexual health clinic or we can refer you at the practice. You will need to complete this questionnaire and email it to the practice. You may need to have a telephone or face to face appointment with the GP or nurse before the referral can be approved.

Maternity 

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital 

Our maternity team includes consultant obstetricians, paediatricians, midwives, obstetric nurses and healthcare assistants and several clerical staff, all of whom endeavour to work together to create a positive experience for all women who choose to deliver with us.

St Mary’s Hospital 

Our maternity and obstetrics service provides care for women and babies throughout pregnancy, labour, and the postnatal period, usually through about 10 days after birth. 

It is important to start your antenatal care early in your pregnancy, as soon as you find out you are pregnant. Use our online self-referral form to quickly refer to our maternity service.

University College Hospital 

Antenatal care is the right care you get from health professionals during your pregnancy. You will be offered appointments with a midwife, or sometimes a doctor who specialises in pregnancy and birth. You should start your antenatal care as soon as possible once you know you are pregnant. Women can refer themselves to our service by completing a self-referral form.

This is a service that can deal with all your musculoskeletal problems. You can see a physiotherapist who can go on and organise all appropriate test and scans with specialist follow up if need be. This is the exact service that a GP will refer you to. You can refer yourself to the service.

KEEN London is the only charity in London providing one-to-one support at free sports and activity sessions for children with additional needs or disabilities. We believe no child should miss out on the benefits of sports and physical activity. With the support of our amazing volunteers, our weekly sessions give our athletes the chance to play games, make friends and, most importantly, have fun!
